I started volunteering at SAFE at The Bridge in January of this year.
What I love most about volunteering is the chance to give back and make someone’s day a little easier it’s a simple act, but it can mean so much. I also enjoy the group of people that I work alongside. They're the kind of team that shows up with heart, never complains, and always goes the extra mile.
Something interesting about me is that I've gone skydiving, even though I'm afraid of heights. Some of my hobbies include working out, reading, and I actually really enjoy cleaning. Except laundry not a big fan of that.
I've come to understand that volunteering is part of our greater purpose, a way to walk in obedience to God's call to love our neighbors as ourselves. Our act of service is like planting a seed of hope and encouragement, trusting that God will grow those moments into something far greater than we can imagine.
