I began volunteering at SAFE in April 2024. What I enjoy most about volunteering at SAFE is the connection I'm able to make with not only the staff, but the families that we serve. Having meaningful conversations and seeing the smiles on their faces provides me with a sense of purpose and fulfillment knowing that I'm making a positive impact in the community.
I love fishing and when I'm not volunteering at SAFE I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends.
During my time at SAFE, I have carried out a variety of tasks from packing bags, food shopping assistant, bagger, volunteering at off site events such as Stamp out Hunger and The Back to School drive in addition to writing thank you cards. SAFE is an amazing organization that not only provides food to the community, but also offers an abundance of other resources. SAFE is an organization that feels more like a big family!
