Jacob & Camden have been volunteering at SAFE at Hwy 87 since 2024. They are both rising seniors at Southeast Alamance High School where they are members of the LEO Club and Jacob is club president. The Southeast Alamance High School Leo Club is a youth organization focused on community service and leadership development, affiliated with Lions Clubs International. The club offers students opportunities to participate in various service projects, fundraising activities, and leadership roles within the club.
They like volunteering at SAFE at Hwy 87 because, "I feel like I am having an actual impact in community. The idea that me actually showing up to make a difference is what pushes me to volunteer," according to Jacob.
Jacob helps with parking lot duty, translation services, periodically stocking the shelves, and cart transport. Camden helps with bagging groceries, loading cars, cart transport, and stocking shelves & produce.
