SAFE Receives a $10,000 Grant From KFC Foundation

SAFE Inc. will have a wish come true, thanks to the KFC Foundation, which has awarded a $10,000 grant to fund interior modifications to its Graham food pantry, creating private, soundproof consultation rooms to enhance service delivery and protect client dignity.

SAFE provides food assistance, health screenings, financial literacy workshops, career resources and referrals to medical, utility and housing support to more than 13,000 individuals annually. Its two food pantries distribute over 200,000 pounds of food yearly, reducing hunger and fostering stability across Alamance County and the surrounding region.

“We are deeply grateful to the KFC Foundation for this Kentucky Fried Wishes grant, which will allow us to install soundproof walls within our location on NC 87,” said Tiffanie Jackson, SAFE’s executive director.

"Our clients will be able to seek the support they need in a quieter and more confidential setting, allowing SAFE to better connect them with resources to build stronger lives,” said Todd Spencer, one of SAFE’s board members.

Kentucky Fried Wishes, one of the KFC Foundation’s community giving programs, invites non-profit organizations to apply for a grant to fund a capacity-building project that will make a lasting impact for their organization and community.

“We’re thrilled to support such incredible non-profits like SAFE through Kentucky Fried Wishes,” said Emma Horn, executive director, KFC Foundation. “These grants help make dream projects a reality, strengthening organizations and creating lasting benefits for the communities they serve.”

Kentucky Fried Wishes is just one way the KFC Foundation supports, empowers, and serves joy to KFC restaurant employees and communities. The KFC Foundation also provides programs focused on education, financial, and hardship assistance for KFC restaurant employees, and a food donation program to fight hunger and food waste.

The KFC Foundation receives financial support from Round Up fundraising and its annual donation program, a voluntary program where KFC franchisees donate to the KFC Foundation every time they order a case of Secret Recipe Fries.
