Crockpot Program Featured on Fox8

SAFE developed the Crockpot Program years ago to help busy families eat more healthy. How does it work? Our community comes together to pack the raw ingredients for healthy crockpot meals and freezes them. Then busy, food-insecure families can take them home and cook them in a crockpot for a quick, healthy meal.

Through our partnerships with CTEC, Alamance County AgExtension, and AMOS the crockpot program has found a whole new community to serve. Now we can serve our elderly, food-insecure community who have a hard time cooking healthfully for themselves.
