Super Bowl of Cereal Challenge

Did you know that one in six children in North Carolina experiences food insecurity? In Alamance County, that number is even higher—nearly one in five children wonders if they will have enough food each day.
To help combat food insecurity among children, SAFE is inviting all public, private, and charter schools to participate in this fun and impactful challenge.
During the week of Feb. 2–6, 2026 , students, teachers, and staff are encouraged to donate boxes of cereal to support SAFE’s food pantries. Cereal is one of our most requested items—especially for families with children—because it can be eaten as a meal or snack and requires no additional preparation.
