What is a “Sustaining Partner"?

A Sustaining Partner is someone who knows the difference between a moment and a movement. A Thanksgiving or Christmas basket may satisfy a family’s needs for the moment, but a Sustaining Partner knows while we take holidays, hunger doesn’t. What about the day after Thanksgiving or the day after Christmas? Sustaining partners know baskets are for moments – when what is needed is a movement, a movement to end food insecurity (translation, hunger).
